Biography

Xavier Guignard is a Middle East analyst and manages Strategic Development. He specializes in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the domestic and foreign policies of the Palestinian Authority. His research also examines authoritarianism, regional diplomacy and peace and transitional justice initiatives.

He teaches at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and is affiliated with the ERC “When Authoritarianism Fails in the Arab World” program (2013-2017). He previously taught at Al-Quds University (Palestine, 2014-15) and Sciences-Po Paris (2015-16), and was a Scholar of the Institut Français du Proche-Orient (IFPO) in Jerusalem (2011-2013).

He holds a degree in Political Science from Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he is currently finishing his PhD. He carries out research in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan.
