Biography

Zoltan Pall is a postdoctoral fellow at the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore, and visiting assistant professor at the Gulf University of Science and Technology in Kuwait. His main research interests include social movement theory, the evolution and dynamics of Salafism in Lebanon and Kuwait, and the logic of Salafi transnational networking between the Arabian Gulf and Southeast Asia. He is the author of Salafism in Lebanon: Local and Transnational Movements (Cambrdige University Press, forthcoming) and Lebanese Salafis between the Gulf and Europe: Development, Fractionalization and Transnational Networks of Salafism in Lebanon (Amsterdam: Amsterdam University Press, 2013).
