Public policies against violence | " Certain public policies against violence are inefficients "

On 3rd and 4th of July 2017, the International Panel on Exiting Violence (IPEV) gathered in Tunis for a symposium including conferences and roundtables about five of the research topics of the panel’s working groups. The symposium was organised in partnership with the Institute of contemporary Maghreb Research (Institut de Recherche sur le Maghreb contemporain, IRMC), the Tunisian Institute of Strategic Studies (Institut Tunisien des Etudes Stratégiques, ITES), and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).

This short video highlights some parts of the roundtable “Public policies against violence” in which participated the IPEV members Sandrine Lefranc, Nathalie Duclos and Scott Straus.

The three interventions highlighted the inconsistencies, contradictions and sometimes the inefficiency of certain public policies against violence, often unadapted to the context of exiting violence.
