Farhat Sana

  • Biography

    Farhat Sana is a reporter of the tunisian press agency (TAP) in Paris. From 2004 to 2015 she worked as a journalist in a tunisian french daily news paper “Le Temps”. She studied journalism and have a master in sociology.

    She worked on women using injectable substances in Tunisia and is preparing a thesis project in sociology about “the subjectivation of tunisian women face the radicalist violence”.

    She coordinated investigation about needs and expectations of Moroccan young people in 6 european countries (France- Italy- Germany- Belgium- Spain- Netherlands). She coordinated media monitoring in the Tunisian Forum of Economic and Social Rights in Tunisia.

    She also covered issues related to women in Tunisia (violence based on gender, poverty of women, rights of Tunisian women, the engagement of women from poor regions in Tunisia in social movements).

    Farhat Sana was a member of the IPEV working group Women and violence with a gendered approach: MENA region and diaspora
