On 3rd and 4th of July 2017, the International Panel on Exiting Violence (IPEV), along with a dozen of North-African researchers, gathered in Tunis for a symposium including conferences and roundtables about five of the research topics of the panel’s working groups. The symposium was organised in partnership with the Tunisian Institute of Strategic Studies (Institut Tunisien des Etudes Stratégiques, ITES), the Institute of contemporary Maghreb Research (Institut de Recherche sur le Maghreb contemporain, IRMC) and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).

This short video highlights some parts of the rountable on deradicalisation in which participated IPEV co-director Yvon Le Bot along with three IPEV members, Bartolomeo Conti, Phil Gurski, Shashi Jayakumar, and Tarek Ghazel (researcher at the University of Sfax, Tunisia), Noufal Abboud (Country Director of Search for Common Ground–Morocco), Slim Masmoudi (assistant professor in cognitive psychology at the University of Tunis).
